Jim Royan
Senior Financial Advisor
With more than four decades of experience in the financial services industry, Jim helps individuals and families pursue their long-term financial goals through tailored investment strategies. Drawing on 42 years of experience navigating major market shifts, he works closely with clients to develop balanced, goal-oriented portfolios aligned with their needs and risk tolerance. Jim is committed to delivering comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Great Falls, followed by graduate studies at the University of Akron and the University of Montana School of Business MBA program. Before entering the investment industry in 1983, he served as Director of School College Relations at the University of Great Falls and as Director of Admissions at the University of Montana. He has been proud to build his career with Wells Fargo Advisors, and now Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network, one of the most respected investment services firms in the nation.
A third-generation Montanan, Jim grew up on his family’s cattle ranch land that his grandparents homesteaded over a century ago. His upbringing instilled in him a deep appreciation for hard work, community, and integrity, these are values that continue to guide his personal and professional life.
Dedicated to giving back, Jim has long been active in supporting Montana communities. He currently serves as Trail Boss for Grizzly Riders International, a nonprofit organization supporting the University of Montana, a role he has held for 27 years. His past community involvement includes serving as Chair and Board Member of City Club Missoula, as a member of the Montana State Coal Board, the University of Montana School of Business Administration Business Advisory Council, and the YWCA Missoula Finance Committee. He has also been involved with the Bovey Trust, Big Brothers and Sisters, Five Valleys Land Trust, and the Loyola Sacred Heart Foundation. In 2010, Jim was honored as “Citizen of the Year” by the Missoula Family Violence Council.
The 2010 Citizen of the Year Award by the Missoula Family Violence Council was bestowed by the Missoula Family Violence Council as a result of community efforts, unrelated to the business of the firm.
